“Not going to go off,” Shaquille O’Neal gets brutally honest on Draymond Green labelling LeBron James as GOAT over Michael Jordan
LeBron James and Michael Jordan
While Michael Jordan has his case ready for the GOAT debate, LeBron James is working hard even in his 20th season to edge him over. On one hand, where majority of basketball fanatics already consider His Airness as the leading GOAT contender, former DPOY – Draymond Green has given the green flag to his dear friend.
The Golden State Warriors’ marquee was short and crisp in naming LeBron James as the greatest player to have played the game over Michael Jordan. Upon which, Shaquille O’Neal, who has plenty against both the concerned men revealed his honest opinion.
“I like Draymond, that’s his opinion,” the 3xNBA Champ with LA Lakers said on the latest episode of ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’. “I like people when they have opinions in this world. You know, the problem we have is when some certain person has an opinion, and you don’t like it.”
Unlike other occasions, this Lakers legend did not downplay Green for revealing his true thoughts. However, he did reveal his honest feelings on the matter, stating, ““I’m not going to go off,” Shaq added. “That’s his opinion. My guy is Dr. J (for those who don’t know – Julius Erving) slash Mike. That’s my guy.”
LeBron James vs Michael Jordan – who hold the edge in the GOAT debate?
To be honest, the choice upon who is the GOAT between LeBron James and Michael Jordan is a never-ending scenario. While they have had plenty of accolades register against their respective names, one seems to edge over the other in different aspects.
That being said, one needs to take into consideration what Bron might just achieve in his 20th NBA season. Chasing the All-Time record of Kareem Abdul Babbar, the 37-year-old is inches away from doing so.
Whereas Jordan was a 14-time All-Star and five-time MVP during his stellar NBA career. To conclude – he’s not only a Hall of Famer, who won 10 scoring titles and six NBA titles but was named NBA Finals MVP six times.
