Skip Bayless can’t let go off his favourite player LeBron James despite the fact that the latter and his team aren’t even a part of the playoffs right now. Skip wont stop taking shots at the Lakers and all of their players any time soon, even though the team has been thrown out of the playoffs a long while ago, post which his slandering should’ve stopped, but that didn’t really happen. Well, Bayless’ favourite player wont ever stop being discussed in the league either, and that won’t be because of the analysts who can’t stop slandering him, but because of the records he continues to break and the games he keeps on dominating.
The Los Angeles Lakers were thrown out of play-ins contention, forget the playoffs, by the #1 seeded Phoenix Suns who had their star player Devin Booker in the squad during that time, but now Booker is out of the squad due to his injury and the Phoenix Suns have managed to win without him, highlighting the fact that the squad wasn’t entirely dependent on one player, but there were others who were ready to take over and do the job for the team.
Chris Paul was the one who led the way for his team along with Deandre Ayton in order to get a win in the first round of the playoff series giving them a 2-1 lead over the New Orleans Pelicans. In this situation, nowhere does LeBron James play any role, but Skip Bayless being the fan that he is, had to bring in James and slander him for some or the other insignificant reason.
The saga of Bayless taking shots at James wont end, neither will James’ habit of breaking records and proving others wrong, therefore, the drama shall always continue. Let us take a closer look at this tweet by Skip which targeted LeBron for something that he played no role in.
Skip Bayless targets LeBron James for not being as good as Chris Paul
Phoenix Suns just won the 3rd game of the playoff series against the New Orleans Pelicans, giving them a 2-1 lead over their rival, but the most important takeaway from this game was the fact that they managed to do it without their star player Devin Booker, who is now out with injury. As stated by the Suns coach and a few of their players before, they seemed completely ready to face the Pelicans without their star player, and they walked the walk when time came.
Deandre Ayton and Chris Paul led the way for the team in doing so, but for Bayless, this wasn’t about the Suns or their leader Paul, in fact it was about someone who isn’t even playing in the playoffs right now.
Skip Bayless somehow managed to bring in LeBron James to a conversation which was about Devin Booker, Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns. What seemed to be a dig taken at James was actually Bayless’ way of praising Paul for his excellent performance in the last quarter against the Pelicans with 19 points to his name. He stated that Paul was as old as James but could do much more things than the latter who isn’t capable of doing the same and closing in a similar fashion.

Bayless’ tweet read, “Well, maybe Chris Paul CAN win his first ring without Devin Booker. He just did it again, taking over the 4th quarter with 19 points, scoring clutch buckets at will. He’s almost as old as LeBron, who’s no longer capable of closing like this.”
Bayless also tried to strengthen his case by saying that Paul could win a Championship without Booker and seemed to take an indirect dig at James who was thrown out of the playoffs despite having names like Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook along others besides him.
