“He will enter Hall of Fame representing OKC not GSW” Skip Bayless believes ‘Best Player on Planet’ Kevin Durant left his heart in OKC
Kevin Durant and Skip Bayless
Skip Bayless is still a believer for Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons. As he thinks the three together can still bring Brooklyn Nets a championship and yes they have the potential to do so. But for it to happen them staying together is necessary. Which isn’t really looking possible as Kevin Durant has requested a trade as soon as Kyrie Irving giving up on his dream of getting a max extension signed with the Nets. Maybe the bridge between them is burnt but still Skip Bayless’ take can be considered.
Skip Bayless on the recent episode of his podcast, “The Skip Bayless Show” discussed his perspective on the question of: “What team will KD enter Hall of Fame representing?” KD is surely a Hall of Famer and there’s no doubt about it. But the team he’ll be representing while his induction is still confusing. So far he has played for three teams and we may get one more added to the list soon. As he’s on the wheels and wants out of Brooklyn Nets.
Skip Bayless answering the question started off with his belief of the Nets under the leadership of KD, getting the job done and quoted: “I still believe Kevin Durant still have at least one more championship in him… I could be wrong about this, but I still believe that Kevin and Kyrie and Ben Simmons, together will win a championship in Brooklyn. I still believe the Brooklyn Nets will hold Kevin Durant to the four years left on his contract and that with Kyrie next year and with a, we hope healthy mentally and physically Ben Simmons, I believe they will go into the year as the favorites to win it all…wouldn’t surprise me a bit.” He is not all right with his take and surely makes sense, further he answered the big question and shocked everyone around.
Skip Bayless on which team will Kevin Durant enter Hall of Fame representing once he’s done in the league
Skip Bayless was also confused with the answer first as he said: “TBD… To be determined.” But after discussing the Nets’ chances he added another take of his to it and quoted: “But if KD does not win another championship, I believe that he would go into the Hall of Fame representing the Oklahoma City Thunder, not Golden State where he was obviously back-to-back finals MVP. OKC, he laid the foundation for his best player on the planet greatness in OKC. I believe he left much of his heart in OKC. So even though he went to Golden State, and he saved Steph’s legacy twice, 2017, 2018. What meant the most to him were his days of Thunder.”
Skip Bayless’ take though makes sense but Kevin Durant has had a more successful time playing at Golden State Warriors in regard to his resume. But his individual success was during his OKC days so it’s not that easy to pick one as of now. Especially when he’s on the wheels and the Warriors are an option. Many also want him to play for OKC and even that can happen but you never know as the Nets won’t give him up that easily and the market for the Nets is already very limited. Because one mistake and they’ll be selling away at least another 5-7 years of their franchise.
