“He has got two or three years of his prime left” Skip Bayless believes Kyrie Irving is going “all in” with the Brooklyn Nets next season

“He has got two or three years of his prime left” Skip Bayless believes Kyrie Irving is going “all in” with the Brooklyn Nets next season

Skip Bayless believes Kyrie Irving and Brooklyn Nets still have some time left as they may stick for one more year and if they do so the guard will have a great year ahead. But now the story has changed from what was being said earlier but the drama continues. Many around were hinting at a reunion of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving but the Nets aren’t letting that happen as their needs aren’t met so that still is a possibility but surely an unclaimed one. On the other hand, Kevin Durant has requested a trade out of the Nets, when Uncle Drew has re-signed with the team which has spiced up the moment more. But there are also rumors of them wanting to play together but not just with the Nets. With all of such rumors and fan-based theories now we also have some views of Skip Bayless and yes unexpectedly they make a bit of sense and can be considered.

The future of both the superstars, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving is very uncertain in the league. As one has made it clear by requesting a trade and the other one had to compromise his deal as the franchise didn’t give him a max extension but is still on the wheels as Lakers show interest. Kyrie Irving though in the past has said that he’ll back up Kevin Durant and hoop with him but the reality now is pretty different and disappointing especially for the Brooklyn Nets and Skip Bayless talking about it rightly quoted it as: “I think the bridge got burned between Kevin and Kyrie.”

Skip Bayless on the Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant situation with the Brooklyn Nets

Skip Bayless discussing the whole situation around the Nets with respect to their almost broken Superstar Duo quoted: “I was under the impression that Kyrie badly wanted to reunite with LeBron. So, this flies in the face of that…He is still supremely gifted, and I believe he’s right smack dab in the middle of his prime right here, right now. He’s got two or three more years in what I would call his prime before he starts to age a little bit and fade a little. So, he is an extremely, supremely valuable commodity, except for all the off-court issues.”

After praising Kyrie for a while Skip also read out a quote (unknown source but close to Kyrie) which hinted at the guard staying with the Nets since he signed a deal and Kevin Durant being next to him or not doesn’t really matter as he has forced his way out and not Uncle Drew. So with all that being said Skip Bayless went all out on KD and the Nets with some good criticism and quoted: “And the problem is, is the passion, is the priority of, ‘Is basketball really that important?’ … So, do I believe that the Brooklyn Nets are sick and tired of Kyrie enough that they have already like made an internal pact, ‘We are going to get rid of him? We ultimately will hold out for the best deal and whatever the best deal is, we are going to move Kyrie.’”

Skip also added: “I don’t believe that at this point. The nuclear weapon is Kevin. I would hold Kevin’s feet to the fire. I don’t believe Kevin would sit out a year if you just said, ‘Hey, we got a four-year deal with you. You’re gonna play here.’ If he plays and is forced to stay in Brooklyn and finally just gives up and gives in and says, ‘OK, I’ll play.'” It doesn’t end here as he’s high with hopes of them giving it one more shot which is very unexpected as Skip Bayless also mentioned: “So, if he’s (Kevin) a Net next year, then I believe Kyrie would be all in being a Net.”

Everything said by Skip Bayless isn’t completely right or wrong as it totally depends upon Kevin Durant willingly playing for the Nets with Kyrie Irving in the backcourt and many don’t really see that happening. But his take of Kyrie being committed is something one can trust and believe in. As it’s high time for the guard after messing up for a whole year. Further, Skip Bayless also talked about the arising chemistry issues the superstar duo has had and can have which basically just brought the conversation of them playing together again down in the charts. Nothing as of now regarding their future in the league can be said but within some weeks the picture would be more clear as many rumors would be shut downed.
