“A pushover who got run over by his stars” Skip Bayless blames Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving as Nets fire Steve Nash
Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Steve Nash, Ime Udoka and Skip Bayless
Skip Bayless is all over the NBA headlines as like many other guys around the league even he reacted to the Nets firing Head Coach, Steve Nash. And, unexpectedly once again he’s throwing shade at his favorite player, Kevin Durant and his controversial teammate Kyrie Irving. Skip Bayless is pointing at the superstar duo as a major reason for Nash losing his job.
Honestly, Skip Bayless ain’t the guy who was riding with Steve Nash and his recent tweet has also proved it. The Nets and the former head coach mutually decided to part ways after the team had a very disappointing start to their season. As of now, the Brooklyn Nets are maintaining a 2-6 record. And, this is really wrong when you have the services of two of the best players in the league. But the story here is a bit different and even Skip Bayless has pointed that by blaming KD and Kyrie for Nash’s exit.
Skip Bayless blamed the superstar duo via a tweet from his personal Twitter handle where he wrote: “Steve Nash: Nice guy. Too nice to command a locker room and bench. A pushover who got run over by his stars.” He described the former coach to be a pushover guy who wasn’t able to control the stars of his team. And, Skip Bayless isn’t wrong with his take this time.
As Steve Nash really had no good control over Kevin Durant and, especially Kyrie Irving who already is in a messed-up situation for promoting antisemitic content. So after two seasons, he was shown the way out by the ownership and front office. As the team under him did no wonders and just had dreams of winning a championship. The Nets though have moved forward at a good pace and can hire Ime Udoka as the new head coach very soon. And, Skip Bayless is already liking this idea.
Skip Bayless riding with the Nets if they bring in Ime Udoka
Ime Udoka was suspended by the Boston Celtics for a year as he violated the team’s code of conduct by having a consensual relationship with a female staffer within the Celtics’ management. And, even Skip Bayless isn’t riding with him for the mess he created and got kicked out by the Celtics. As he stated that in a tweet of his. But from Basketball perspective he finds him to be the perfect guy.
Skip Bayless has already congratulated the team via a tweet where he wrote: “Ime Udoka will be no pushover for KD/Kyrie. He will install&instill a defensive mindset whether his superstars like it or not. Life is about to change in Netsland. Congrats, Sean Marks.” If Ime Udoka makes it then there are great chances of Nets turning their whole season around. As he has done that in the past and knows how to handle such superstars.
