Skip Bayless and LeBron James

Skip Bayless doesn’t miss a single opportunity to take a shot at Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. Despite the fact that King is about to credit his name to the All-Time scoring record untouched in 40 years Bayless took his criticism to a petty new level. In the Lakers’ loss to the Pelicans, he criticized the Lakers star for shooting badly from beyond the arc in the season.

The Lakers have an extremely bad record in the Western Conference right now, and unfortunately, James is shooting career bad from beyond the arc since his rookie season. While mentioning that the All-Star player is closing into the all-time scoring record, Skip took to Twitter to criticize the 4 x league MVP. The sports analyst said that despite having a career season for himself, Bron’s team has been bad in the season. “I’m embarrassed for LeBron James that he’s about to pass Kareem for all-time greatest scorer while his team is 25-29 and 13th in the West,” he said.

King shot one of seven from beyond the arc and this has been his condition all season. Bayless implied that one of the reasons that the Lakers are not performing better is because of LeBron’s shooting slump. “He’s hurting with bottom-of-the-league 3-point shooting … 1-7 tonight. This team should be so much better. But it has no closer,” he added. Perhaps, Skip should know better. Bron has been shooting over 50% from the field, which would mean other players are taking enough shots from the field; they are just not converting.

Can LeBron James pull the Lakers from the embarrassing slump in the season?

LeBron James

At 38 years of age, LeBron James has not hit the father time yet, but it seems like he has to be a guardian for the Lakers again yet another time. At the age, when players have a part-time job on the roster, James has been averaging 30 points, and over eight rebounds, and has been dropping over seven assists per game for the Lakers. In absence of Davis, Westbrook’s limited role in the team, he has to take care of most of the Lakers’ offense. He has been averaging over 36 minutes in games, which is unprecedented.

Call it unfortunate, or a bad decision to add a bad roster around Bron, but his legacy is still being tested. It is not that 19 x NBA All-Star has bad teammates around him, but the star players have somehow been the reason for his team’s bad performance. All-Time great big man Davis, former league MVP in Westbrook, who wouldn’t want that roster. However, Russ’s low shooting percentage and Davis’ injury are hurting.
