“Better than Giannis or Jokic” Skip Bayless heaps praise on Joel Embiid by calling him the “best player on the planet”
Skip Bayless took to twitter to express his praise for the 5 time All-Star Joel Embiid. He called Joel the “best player on the planet’ and even went to claim that he is better than Giannis and Jokic. Joel Embiid has recently been in headlines for putting up shows night after night. He is also a top contender for the MVP race this season. Alongside him in the race are, Giannis Antetokounmpo of Milwaukee Bucks and Nikola Jokic of Denver Nuggets.
Joel Embiid is the best player on the planet according to Skip Bayless
Veteran NBA analyst has had his fair share of hot takes through out his career. But his recent one has stirred up a big controversy and major disagreement from fans of other players and teams. Many believe that the 2021-22 season MVP will be awarded to Nikola Jokic after his mind-blowing numbers in the games for Denver. He carried the Nuggets to the playoffs and had to single handedly battle the Warriors in the playoffs. No fan of the game would deny that Jokic did all that he could and more, to prevent a sweep from the Warriors. Giannis too is in the discussion for his contribution and impact on the game to help the Bucks bag those crucial wins in the playoffs.
“Joel Embiid is again making the case HE’S The Best Player on the Planet – better than Giannis or Jokic.”, Skip Bayless tweeted.
Embiid has been making headlines recently for the contribution he has made to keep Philadelphia 76ers’ championship opes alive. With an under-performing James Harden by his side, Embiid carried the Phili team through the 1st round of playoffs. He was ruled out for the first 2 games of the 2nd round of playoffs. With the 76ers, returning back home down 0-2 against Miami Heat, Embiid had to pull-off every move he has to bag the 2 wins at home. For the impact that Embiid has had in the game that he has played, Skip’s statement cannot be deemed as entirely wrong.
To call Embiid the best player on the planet might be a step too far but Skip has done it in the past and statements that go too far are expected from him. A couple days ago, he deemed Dillon’s suspension from Game 3 as wrong, while all former players deemed it ‘well deserved’.
