“KD and Kyrie on their way to joining LeGone in Cancun” Skip Bayless launches damning taunts to Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving as Nets drop Game 2

Brooklyn Nets
Kevin Durant has once again found himself amidst a very tough situation leaving the entire world questioning his capabilities. Joining the Brooklyn Nets with the intention of rising into power immediately was Durant’s reason to prove his greatness. His skill on the court certainly makes him an all-time great player but it is not the same for him to carry a team entirely.

The notion of Kevin Durant being indefensible was proven wrong by the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the first-round series. His specialty of hovering over defenders was a no-show during the game and KD barely had his shots going in. He shot 0-10 from the field in the second half of the game followed by Kyrie Irving’s lackluster performance.
Kevin Durant shoots his worst this season to give the Celtics a 2-0 lead

Kevin Durant has not shot well from the field this series making only 13 of 41 attempts. Based on his performance, the player took the media through the situation on the court saying, “I mean they’re playing two or three guys on me sometimes when I’m off the ball, they’re mucking up actions when I run off stuff. I see Horford leaving his man to come over to hit me sometimes. “
Durant was also very accepting of the fact that he did not perform well in Game 2. He said, “I felt like I got a couple good shots there in the fourth that just didn’t go down. I gotta be more patient but also play fast sometimes too.” The horrible one-point deficit in Game 1 may have pushed Durant to make decisions on the court that were not too viable. He finished the game with 27 points which included 4 shots from the field and 18 three throws in total.
Skip Bayless sends a taunting message toward Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving

The loss in Game 1 of the series could have been looked over as a feel-out game before Kevin Durant and the Nets blew out the Celtics on offense. However, the same mistakes were made once again in the second match. Either way, chances are that this series may be extended depending on how the Nets react in the next two games. As upsetting as it may sound, the Nets big two shot a very 26% from the field combined.
Sports Journalist Skip Bayless has never been light on his judgments. Following Brooklyn’s loss, he took to Twitter saying, “KD and Kyrie on their way to joining LeGone in Cancun.” Bayless was referring to none other than LeBron James who fell short of the play-in tournament. The Nets do require an extra defensive piece, the void that Ben Simmons could fill. His role would not be of any use if he returns on a minutes restriction. Joe Harris would have helped grab away defenders as he is lethal from the three-point line, but he will not return until next season.
