“Somebody has to pay for the sins of others” Skip Bayless says Steve Nash is not the solution to Brooklyn Nets’ problems

When two-time MVP Steve Nash took the responsibility to coach Brooklyn nets, a side consisting of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, there were no expectation which weren’t leading to the NBA Championship in the initial seasons. However, after the team’s painful and humiliating exit from the playoffs, Skip Bayless cannot let go off Nash and his coaching tenure till date.
On the most recent episode of Undisputed alongside co-host Shannon Sharpe, Bayless went onto suggest that Steve Nahs is not the solution to the problems of Brooklyn Nets. In his defense, the 70-year-old sports media personality also did not blame Nash as the ‘problem’ persisting in the team, but he sure wasn’t the solution to any either.

Bayless stated, “Obviously, Steve Nash was disqualified before he even sat down on the bench to coach. He was disqualified. We don’t need a coach. That’s all you need to know. I’m still not sure Steve Nash was the problem, but he definitely wasn’t the solution. Definitely not the solution.

“It’s the way of the NBA world. It’s the law of the NBA jungle that when it doesn’t work, for whatever reason, there’s only one guy that’s expendable, because you can’t fire a Kevin Durant or you can’t fire a Kyrie Irving. You just fire that guy. Somebody has to pay for the sins of everybody else, and it is just to easy to say that it is that guy.”
That being said, with Nets getting thrown out of the playoffs in the first-round itself with plethora of stars at their disposal, it will be interesting to see if Steve Nash is able to retain upon his seat as the head coach for the team in Barclays Center. Given that, Kevin Durant still assured his trust in Nash even after the clean sweep, might just work in the former’s favor. But who can say for sure? Guess, time will unravel all speculations.
