Skip Bayless is back in the headlines and proving why he is known as the biggest LeBron James hater. But unexpectedly the criticism and take of his this time makes sense as it’s around the Kyrie Irving situation. Uncle Drew wants out of Brooklyn Nets as they aren’t giving him a long-term contract and there are very obvious reasons behind it. As he can’t really be trusted after the last two seasons he has had with the franchise but surely he still is one of the best in the game but that unavailability factor just ruins it all. Skip Bayless though correctly this time pointed out the contract details of Kyrie Irving and tweeting about it gave a tight slap to LeBron James as reuniting with his mate now is going to be tough.
In the recent days, the rumors of Lakers landing Kyrie Irving picked up pace as he even talked about it with LeBron James. But now Uncle Drew has picked up his player option so he can only be traded now and that means even the Lakers will have to give up a lot of talent in the exchange to the Nets or any other team. Kyrie Irving also had a choice of signing with the Lakers on a mid-level deal which would have got him $7 million but he didn’t choose that and now the road will be full of hurdles.
Skip Bayless correctly pointed it out via a tweet from his personal Twitter handle and wrote: “Guess Kyrie didn’t want a second chance with LeBron THAT bad – not lose-$30-mil bad. So, after wrecking the Nets last season, he’s forced to play with them next season for a mere $36.5 mil. Some guys just can’t get a break.” He’s not all wrong with his words but maybe the backstories of both the franchises involved didn’t allow it. But still, the doors aren’t closed and there is a great chance of us watching Kyrie Irving and LeBron James hoop together once again.

The chances of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving reuniting at Los Angeles Lakers are good and it can be coming in some days. As both, the players are old good mates who fought for a time but now are back and ready to chill together. Both of them also want to win now and add on to their legacies. But it’s not going to be easy for LeGM to land his old mate in L.A. As the front office, this year won’t risk anything as they already have ruined it last year by bringing in a veteran roster. Still, they’ll try to give it a shot and go in for some potential swaps as Kyrie Irving and LeBron James have done it together and can run it back again. Skip Bayless is though also right with his point this time but still, nothing can be said about the reunion and everyone around just has to wait for an official announcement.
