Skip Bayless TOSSES OUT NBA champion Nikola Jokic’s prowess, hails MVP Joel Embiid

The City of Denver finally hoist an NBA title after a 47-year-long wait with the Nuggets defeating the Miami Heat in Game 5. The Nikola Jokic led Denver Nuggets finally closed it out on the Miami Heat after winning the series 4-1, Jokic led all scorers with 28 points, trailed by Michael Porter Jr. with 16 points and Jimmy Butler added 21 points for Miami. Skip Bayless on his Undisputed show is still left unimpressed by the 2-time MVP.

Skip Bayless on the Undisputed Show said: “Joel Embiid is a more dominating, intimidating basketball player than Nikola Jokić is,” siding with the current NBA MVP Joel Embiid. Skip’s opinion sparks the idea that Joel Embiid might still be the best NBA player in the League as he averaged 33.1 ppg, 10.2 rpg and 4.2 apg during the regular season but failed to take the Sixers past the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Skip’s claim is also misleading as the analyst’s comment is more focused on the aesthetics as Nikola Jokic is as dominant if not more dominant than Joel Embiid as he won the Finals MVP and take the Nuggets all the way to the NBA Championship a feat that Embiid hasn’t done yet all while averaging 30.2 points, 14.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists in 5 games in the NBA Finals.

Nikola Jokic was virtually unstoppable in this year’s NBA playoffs, having one of the best playoff runs in NBA history having to run through the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Edwards, a star-studded Phoenix Suns and a resilient Miami Heat team.

Shannon Sharpe finally left UNDISPUTED after a dispute with Skip Bayless

Shannon Sharpe finally ends his run with the show Undisputed after 7 years of working on the job. The duo of Skip and Shannon finally ended their run following a number of falling between the two.

Things between the two became sour following a segment late last year where they had a full blow-up on air when Shannon Sharpe called out Skip for trying to diminish his career to make a point about Tom Brady, the incident worsened their relationship as Skip reportedly ‘never apologised’ for his comments. Another incident happened in January 2023 when Skip falls into controversy following his myopic Tweets on the night of Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest. The Tweet saw a full-blown outrage from social media with NFL, sports media, fans and even Shannon Sharpe, who took a day off because of the incident.

The chemistry between the two was visibly bad following the next few months until Sharpe finally decided to leave the show. On his final segment of the show Shannon finally said his goodbye, delivering a heartfelt speech thanking Skip Bayless: “I’m here because of you,” Sharpe said. “You’ve allowed me to share the stage with you, you’ve allowed me to share the platform.”

As of now, there is no replacement yet for Sharpe’s spot but there have been several candidates linked to the show and Skip will have a final say on who would get the UNDISPUTED job.
