The 2022 NBA Rumor Mill could help LeBron James reunite with his former championship teammate; Kyrie Irving as the Los Angeles Lakers are dearly looking to tie-around in their favor by acquiring the most elite set of players alongside the King. On the same note, the purple and gold army are looking to trade Kyrie Irving, significantly adding great scoring prowess.

While talking about the same on the latest episode of Undisputed, sports media personality Skip Bayless decided to vouch for LeBron James reuniting with Kyrie Irving against all odds, as he feels that the move could be great for ‘theatre’. Why are the LeBron James, Lakers trying so hard to acquire Kyrie? Actually, it was the first time since 2006, that the 37-year-old veteran went onto miss the playoffs in the previous season.

To those who missed the spoken off episode, Bayless stated that Irving is ten times better than Lakers guard, Russell Westbrook. He also stated that James would be most suitable to handle Uncle Drew’s antics.

“I want to see Kyrie and LeBron James reunited,” Bayless said. “I think it would be the story of the year. I think it would be great theatre. I think Kyrie Irving will be on his best behavior with LeBron… It would be superb theatre to watch those two try to refigure out what they had in those three years. I think, right now, Kyrie Irving is ten times the player Russell Westbrook is.”

That being said, LeBron James returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers ahead of the 2015 NBA season and joined newbie-Irving. Given their scoring prowess and attacking style of play, both players led the team to the NBA Finals in his first season back. In his four seasons with the Cavaliers, they appeared in four NBA Finals against the mighty and resilient Golden State Warriors.

They even out-played Steve Kerr’s side in the 2016 NBA Finals, after being 3-1 down. On the same note, with both players reunited in Hollywood, one could hope for a good 2023 season campaign run and possible serious run for the championship, especially after the franchise has endured one of its worst seasons.
