“I can’t take this, it’s your day, it’s your show” Skip Bayless walks off set after Shannon Sharpe hilariously berates him for Brooklyn Nets pick
Skip Bayless and Shannon sharp talks on Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant
Shannon Sharpe takes on a friendly banter with his “Undisputed” co-host Skip Bayless as he missed his prediction for 2nd game between Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics. Skip dramatically stormed away from the podium.
Skip Bayless is proud of his predictions and reading of the game. After game 1 loss against Boston Celtics, Skip was hoping for the Nets to bounce back strong and snatch one important away game of the series. But the reality was different as the result was the same as the Boston Celtics got the dub. Though Brooklyn Nets started the game positively, they failed to break the Celtics offensive flow and got caught on their defensive end. Shannon Sharpe didn’t want to miss the chance to have some fun around his mate Skip Bayless.
He was ready with “block game pieces” structured to indicate the outcome of the game. It read, “Celts Win as KD misfires”. Skip, firstly couldn’t read the block properly, but rushed away from the camera, asking Shannon to do the show alone. But finally, both analysts were at the same table, with regular “hi” and greetings to the viewers.
How Celtics shut Kevin Durant and Brooklyn Nets to prove Skip Bayless’ prediction wrong?
Boston Celtics players were already pumped up with the close win in game 1, and on the defensive end the team had proven themselves in the regular season by putting up the best numbers when compared to others. In Game 1, the Celtics’ defense was more focused on Kevin Durant, allowing Kyrie some scoring opportunities. Kyrie’s 39 pints in Game 1 allowed the Nets to give themselves some chance in the head-to-head matchup.
But in game 2, the Celtics team chose to block Kyrie as well. The effect was visible, as Kyrie was forced to hand dribble to others, and even make the pass for a final shot, Celtics got more chance of limiting the Nets to fewer points. KD improved from 23 points in game 1 to 27 points in game 2, but Kyrie’s production took a huge hit, as he dropped to 10 points in game 2 from 39.
The plan worked as the Celtics managed to score nearly 115 points (by chance 114 to be exact) and limit the Nets to 107 from 114 performance in Game 1. The outcome of the game may not be as predicted by Skip, but Shannon got a chance to have his way with his “beloved” co-host of the show.
