“Look at the blessing that he has become” Sonya Curry breaks down while admitting to having thoughts about ABORTING Stephen Curry
Sonya and Stephen Curry
Recently, Sonya Curry, mother of star point guard Stephen Curry, talked about the time when she thought of aborting him. A few months back, she was the one who threw light on this topic, and now she talked more about how she made one of the most challenging decisions in her life. Indeed, it is hard even to think how the NBA world would be if the Warriors star hadn’t been born.
Sonya Curry was talking on the podcast ‘Your Mom,’ where she quoted, “It was healing to tell the story in the book. Because I know there’s lots of people out there – men and women – I know it really comes down to the woman’s body, but there are men out there that are trying to be partners in making this kind of decision. There’s partners out there that don’t even get a say in that because it just happens and they don’t ever know about it.”
Sonya added, “But, the simple fact that people are having to make this decision every single day, every second of the day out there, that we’ll never know about. For me to be able to share that story for people to know, one, so many people are struggling with it, and it’s OK. It’s OK that you are struggling with it. Two, the decision that I made to keep him at that point is also counter with the decision that I made to not carry through with the previous pregnancy.”
Stephen Curry leads the Golden State Warriors to another win
NBA superstar Stephen Curry nailed 40 points and guided the Warriors to a fantastic win over the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-101. Steph’s performance in the game made him the oldest player since great Michael Jordan to record consecutive 40-point games in 2002 and the first player in NBA history to finish those straight 40-point games with at least a 65-percent shooting clip and five 3-pointers made.
He has now hit at least one 3-pointer in a shocking 200 consecutive games, extending his own NBA record. With this win, the Warriors improved to a 5-7 in the current season. Hadn’t Chef Curry been in top form, it would have been another loss for the Golden State Warriors, as the other players merely chipped in. He is the league’s second-leading scorer behind Dallas’ Luka Doncic at 33.3 points per game.
