More significantly, though, he valued LeBron’s career and considered himself fortunate to play with a man of such quality.
After the game against the Raptors where he had six points and seven assists. In a press conference, he honored LeBron’s legacy so far. He said,
Again I've said this a ton. LeBron has the Greatest career of all time. So being around somebody like that, learning from somebody like that, seeing how he goes about his day, his routine, his recovery on top of the special things he does on the floor.
Dinwiddie discussed how LeBron has continued to uphold his legacy. His playing principles and how he achieved 40,000 points over his illustrious career. He discussed how much King James has taught him.
Spencer Dinwiddie will have a $1 bonus if the Lakers win the NBA championship
A peculiar feature in Dinwiddie’s contract caused many people to squint in confusion. Dinwiddie will be eligible for a $1 bonus if his decision to join the Lakers results in a championship ring. However, under specific circumstances. The 30-year-old guard will trigger a very special bonus in his contract if his team surpasses their present 28-26 record and capture an 18th crown later this year.
Spencer Dinwiddie gave the reason for this weird condition. Via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, he said,
With my current placement in championships aspiring team, people are questioning, 'why a dollar?' However it represents more of the connection with my agent than any monetary value.
Dinwiddie claims that his prior contract included several win-related prizes, such as the $1,000 championship bonus. Many laughed when he finally got his deal with the Wizards. However, as a means of fostering their relationship, Dinwiddie and Glushon agreed to put this in any future contracts, if that was possible.
