Kyrie Irving is undoubtedly one of the most skilled guards ever seen in the league. Having the ability to haunt the opposition from downtown and from the paint, Irving’s scoring prowess cannot be described in words. Yet his most recent stint with the Brooklyn Nets has been painful, to say the least. Although he has had big performances, yet his absence has tormented the team’s outlook and performance. The same was highlighted by Stephen A. Smith but in the most brutal way possible.

The most media personality and one of the brutal analysts, Smith went onto detail why Brooklyn Nets shouldn’t offer a contract extension to Kyrie Irving, especially when the team of being clean swept via the hands of Boston Celtics. In his defense, Smith did compliment Irving, to not make it a hate-rant, but surely urged that he doesn’t deserve a long-term contract by any means.

Stephen A. Smith was one of the firm believers upon the potential of Brooklyn Nets when they acquired Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving alongside one another. But their recent slump against Boston Celtics have brought heaps of criticism on their duoship. Especially knowing that the Nets have not been able to form a solid starting five, which is effective on either ends of the court. The entire blame seems to be bundles majorly upon Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. 

In the post-game interview, Irving highlighted that the Nets are struggling because of chemistry-issues, which can be built only when they played together? But who is to blame majorly for it?
