The President of the United States of America is supposed to be the most powerful person in the world. The respect such a position draws is second to none. However, when the POTUS resorts to cheap gimmicks to garner votes, it will trigger people the wrong way. Stephen A Smith lost his mind when current President, Joe Biden resorted to a cheap tactic to garner black votes.

President Joe Biden posted a picture of him having a meal with a family on his official X (Twitter) account. Subsequently, a video was broadcast over several media channels. It depicted President Biden eating fried chicken and fries with a black American family.

“If we’re being fair, If we saw Donald Trump sitting down in a black household, eating fried chicken with a father and a son, what would we say? You know folks out there will be calling it racist. Well if it’s racist for him, why wouldn’t it be racist for Biden?”

Stephen A Smith said in response to Biden video

Smith was asking as it was apparent that President Biden’s act in the video was a clear sign that he was trying to garner black votes.

Stephen A Smith stated that everyone, especially the black community, would have labeled it racist if former President and current Presidential candidate, Donald Trump had performed this act. At the same time, this act by Biden is also racist.

Smith added that Republican party supporters have trolled this act. Biden’s actions left the black community dumbfounded. Significantly, black American athletes are the majority representatives in the NBA and NFL, it has left them too puzzled.

Stephen A Smith disappointed with the Presidential Candidate’s efforts to garner black votes

The United States will hold the Presidential elections on November 5th of this year. The primary candidate from the Democratic party is Joe Biden. Though the Republican party has not officially confirmed its primary opponent to Biden, the belief is that former President Donald Trump is the leading candidate.

It is not a secret how NBA athletes view Trump. Hall of Famer, Charles Barkley is known for being the most open and regular critic of his. NBA superstars have constantly criticized Trump. NBA superstar, Lou Williams criticized Trump for launching a gold high-top sneakers. Several eminent personalities viewed the stunt as a marketing tactic to garner black votes. Now, Biden’s act has also faced criticism.

With both primary Presidential candidates resorting to cheap antics, Black American athletes will have a tough time deciding on who to vote. Had Biden not resorted to this marketing tactic, maybe Stephen A. Smith and other black Americans would not have called him out.
