LeBron James’ elder son, Bronny James collapsed on the floor after suffering a cardiac arrest during USC Trojans basketball practice. The tragic incident shocked the sporting world and even scared analyst Stephen A. Smith to death. Bronny is just 18 years old and a superstar in the making, and he has his whole career ahead of him. And, such heart conditions have always hurt athletes and their careers.

Stephen A. Smith was shocked, scared, and worried while reacting to Bronny James’ cardiac arrest. On the recent episode of ESPN’s “First Take,” he offered his support to the unfortunate James Family. Stephen A. Smith reacting to the tragic incident quoted: “I just heard it a couple of minutes ago and I was scared to death… Those are the kinds of things that are an anomaly, but are never the less incredibly possible.”

Further, thanking God for the situation being under control due to the medical staff, Smith added: “When you hear something like this, you just thank the good lord that the medical staff was there in attendance, that he wasn’t practising by himself with nobody around. That there were people there to see what transpired and ultimately come to his rescue. This cardiac arrest is obvious serious, but we don’t know the details.”

Stephen A. Smith though is hopeful that the cause behind the cardiac arrest would be identified and treated as soon as possible. Bronny recently committed to play for the University of Southern California Trojans and was preparing for his first college season. But things can be delayed after this tragic incident.

The cause behind the cardiac arrest is still not known. But Bronny James who was rushed to hospital around 9:26 am during the practice session is out of ICU. The statement released by a spokesperson for the James family also reveals him to be in a stable condition.

But still, his future playing ball is uncertain as the details about his heart attack aren’t out yet. Also, during the tough time, LeBron James and Savannah expect respect and privacy.

Bronny James was expected to announce for the NBA draft next season. Even LeBron James has planned his career accordingly so he can play with his son in the league. But none of that matters now, as Bron being a big family guy the only thing he’s focused on will be Bronny’s well-being and health.
