Golden State Warriors advance to the NBA Finals at expense of Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 at Chase Center. Megastars of both teams – Luka and Stephen Curry shared a heart-warming moment in the end as the Warriors prevailed into their 6th NBA Finals in last 8 years.

Golden state Warriors dominated all the games they won in the Western conference finals series as they held upper-hand in almost all the aspects of the game. They targeted Dallas Mavericks’ talisman Luka Doncic and tried limiting him to minimal production on the court. The strategy and particular tactic worked well for the Warriors as they managed to win nearly every quarter in the 5-game series, while Dallas looked helpless moving forward offensively. Still Slovenian found his way out and involved his teammates whenever possible to break the shackles but it wasn’t enough to get past Dubs.

The series was always taunted as the battle between two mega point guards active in the post season. It was Luka Doncic vs Stephen Curry right from the start and as Warriors wrapped the series 4-1, it ended the way it was supposed to be, with experienced Curry infusing some encouraging words in young Doncic.

The Dallas Mavericks put up a good fight in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, especially at the Chase Center. But hot shooting from Klay Thompson proved dagger in the Mavs hearts and it was 3-time NBA Champions  Golden State Warriors prevailed as Stephen Curry and Co. now move on to the NBA Finals. This is their 6th appearance in last 8 NBA Seasons emphasizing their dominance in the 2020’s decade.

Luka Doncic played exceptionally in the series and even in the last game he played whole but last 2 minutes of the second half in order to turn the tide in the Mavs favor. After the final buzzer, the Warriors leader had to give Doncic his props after a hard-fought series.

Though it was unclear what was said between the pair, but looking at the reactions and the respect they had shown in the past for each other, the Warriors star had nothing but praise and words of encouragement for Doncic.

Little known fact about their connection in the past, Luka admired Stephen , when he was entering the league and even learning the English to get used to the surroundings. Slovenian teenager had practice session with NBA Champion Curry, which Luka recalled in an interview, “I remember last year after the draft, I practiced once with him, and it was crazy. He couldn’t miss. He can’t miss. And that was like something I’ll always remember — practice with him.”

Steph then took up a mentor responsibility for young Luka, and after todays gesture it just seems that the relation between the two stars has just grown to another level. Doncic is just in Year 4 of his young career and the fact that he’s reached the Conference Finals this early. Similarly Curry also had reached new highs every season, making history on the way. The member of 75th anniversary team does his best to encourage the young talent now that he is nearing the twilight of his career. It could a fitting explanation to the warm hug that 34-year old dropped a bit of wisdom on his young counterpart after concluding what turned out to be an epic battle.

Now Curry will look forward to the NBA Finals, while Luka will try to improve on the performances and come up strong next season.
