Stephen Curry is the star player for the Golden State Warriors. Curry is among the greatest shooters in history. However, he did not perform well in the Warriors’ 118-114 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Stephen Curry shot 0 of 8 from beyond the 3-point arc. This was his first regular season game without a 3-pointer since 2018. Still, he provided eight assists, which helped the team win.

Curry’s 0 of 4 performance from beyond the arc in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on November 8, 2018, was the last time he went an entire regular season without making a 3-pointer. After that, he had the longest streak of any player in NBA history—268 games during which he made at least one 3-pointer. His last game without a 3-pointer made, post-playoffs included, was Game 5 of the 2022 NBA Finals.

After a 37-point outburst, Stephen Curry’s performance was below average. The nine-time All-Star only managed seven points, shooting 2–12 from the field and 0–8 on three-pointers. He can take pride in his eight assists as the reason for his +14 box plus-minus. Warriors were predicted to triumph handily. Instead, the Blazers made a heroic effort. In the end, the Warriors won their second game in a row.

While this happened, Klay Thompson led the team with 28 points, making five of his ten 3-point attempts. The performance showed signs of getting over his early gaming slump. Coming off the bench, Andrew Wiggins managed to score 25 points and pull down seven rebounds for Golden State.

Stephen Curry made history against the Brooklyn Nets

During the Golden State Warriors’ 124-120 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, Stephen Curry became the first player in NBA history to make 3,500 three-pointers. Curry achieved the feat a year after assuming control of the league’s three-point record. At the end of the game, he had 3,505 career threes, 532 more than Ray Allen, the next-best player ever.

More importantly, the two-time MVP put on an incredible performance in the fourth quarter on Saturday. He scored 16 of his 37 points as the Warriors managed to hang on for the win and move up to 11-14 overall. The Warriors took an early lead at the Chase Centre and led 70–54 at the half after Stephen Curry made his 3,500th three-pointer in the first quarter.

He made this historic feat possible only a day ago. However, the 3-point shooting god could not make a single 3-pointer during a game. Stephen has been the team’s most dependable and consistent option in a shaky and uneven campaign thus far, despite his horrific shooting performance against Portland.
