Stephen Curry has had one hell of a year achieving all that he can to show that he is the best. After being named NBA champion for the fourth time in his career, he silenced the masses against him for good. The Golden State Warriors themselves had a lot to convey on behalf of their leader and brother. Now they are back where they belong, at the top of the entire league.

Over the years, he established himself as one of the greatest players of all time yet many believed he still had a lot to prove. That was quick to change after he led the Dubs against the Boston Celtics and won his first ever Finals MVP award having played the defensive player of the year at his own position. People have started comparing him to LeBron James and several other all-time greats.

Stephen Curry dominates during the off-season

Stephen Curry had one of his best seasons coming into his 13th season averaging 30 points per game. He was a clear front runner for the MVP award which would have been his third but an unfortunate on court mishap drew him away. He concluded the regular season averaging 25.5 points, 5.2 rebound, and 6.3 assists per game.

He averaged 31.2 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists per piece during the finals series. His offensive prowess got the best of the Celtics matchup and he seemed almost unstoppable. During the off-season he took part in the American Century Championship golf tournament which had several other celebrities in attendance. He finished 16th among 80+ participants and was the top ranked NBA player in the tournament which also feature his brother Seth Curry and Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso.

Stephen Curry hints about “surprises” during the 2022 ESPYS

Stephen Curry took a major leap agreeing to host the ESPYS. The player revealed, “Maybe not as nervous as if Draymond was hosting, but still nervous.” This would be the very first time the baby faced assassin would host a show that he is usually attending as a nominee. Curry is also nominated this year for NBA Player of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year and Record Breaking Performance of the year.

He also said he spoke to two other legends prior to his role as host. He told People Magazine, “I talked to Drake and Peyton Manning about what the hosting gig is really like, so I’m obviously nervous and excited and all the different emotions.” He also hinted on what he plans to do while hosting, “I don’t want to give away too many surprises. We might try to include [Ayesha] in some of the skits or some of the on-stage stuff, we’ll see.”
