The rivalry between the Golden State Warriors and Dillon Brooks has existed for some time now. The Warriors have disliked Brooks ever since he severely injured Gary Payton II. It happened during a playoff game in the 2021-22 season. At the time, Brooks played for the Memphis Grizzlies. Since then, Brooks has become one of the most hated players in the league due to his antics.

He signed with the Houston Rockets this offseason. Brooks played his first game against the Golden State Warriors and was embarrassed by Stephen Curry during a play late in the fourth quarter. Brooks guarded Curry late in the fourth quarter. During the quarter, Curry caught fire, drilling four three-pointers to seal the game for the Warriors.

After the third three, Curry brought the ball up to shoot another three when Brooks tried to guard him. Curry did a mean crossover, which sent Brooks sliding on the other side. Curry did a pump fake, which sent Brooks flying, and then shot a three to extend the lead to 12 points and seal the game for the Warriors. Even Curry was surprised with the move he had just pulled off.
