The good news has come in the Golden State Warriors camp as their superstar player Stephen Curry is all set to make his return. Curry partially dislocated his shoulders while attempting to use his left hand to steal the ball from Pacers forward Jalen Smith in the third quarter. The team promptly called a timeout and removed Curry from the game as the star player bent over, and held onto his left shoulder.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on December 15th that Curry was expected to miss “a few weeks” due to the injury. Following that on 24th Jan Warriors announced that Curry was making good progress. However, last week Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr updated that the 2x MVP might make his return on January 13th against the San Antonio Spurs. The tentative return date was upgraded to a “realistic target date” for Curry’s return on Jan 4.

Before his injury curry was playing at an MVP level. He was leading the Warriors‘ offense and singlehandedly won a few games for himself. He averaged 30 points and 6.8 assists and shot over 43 percent from the three-point line.

This season the league has already seen so many injuries to its superstars. Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, and Kevin Durant, all have been sidelined for weeks because of their injuries. Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan is the recent name joining the long list as he suffered right quadriceps strain against the Boston Celtics.

In the third quarter, DeRozan was injured while attempting to drive past Celtics big man Al Horford in the paint. His right foot brushed the inside of Horford’s left foot. DeRozan will receive treatment for the injury, but it’s unknown if he will miss any games at this time.

DeRozan, though, told reporters postgame that when he returned to the locker room, it felt perfect. “It kind of contracted a little bit more and made it a little more irritated,” DeMar said. “I felt like I couldn’t move like I wanted so I just didn’t want to limit myself and slow the team down in any way,” added the Bulls star. The Celtics defeated the Bulls 107-99 in the game.

DeRozan, Durant, Curry, and Davis are the primary offensive weapons of their teams and their absence has a substantial impact on the team’s performances. While Curry is set to make his return, there is no update on DeRozan. Durant and Davis are going to miss weeks before they return to the floor.
