Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are now 17–20 with a losing record after being destroyed by the New Orleans Pelicans by a margin of 36 points at home. They have only managed to win two of their last eight games. Which is not what one would expect from a team like the Warriors. At the Chase 1 Arena, the fans voiced their displeasure. And the Goated Splash brothers acknowledged the criticism they received for their play style.

The Warriors have an advantageous schedule since they have played the past seven matches at home. The group has only managed two victories and has dropped its last two games against the New Orleans Pelicans and Toronto Raptors. During the press conference after the game, Steph Curry expressed that he understood the fans’ emotions and would have reacted if he had been seated there.

Stephen Curry said at the press conference:

We’re struggling, there is nothing to cheer about. I don’t take it any certain type of way, honestly I’m booing myself, booing our team in my head because we’re playing.

Curry scored 15 points in 25 minutes of play (on 4-of-13 shooting) in the defeat. According to Curry, it makes sense that the defeat devastated him, and he acknowledges the state and performance of his team. He disagrees with the performance and is standing with the fans.

But Klay Thompson chose to ignore the boos at the Chase 1 Centre, brushing off the fans’ anger. Thompson said:

I don’t care. You supposed to lose sleep over it?

In contrast to Curry, who expressed empathy for the fans’ anguish, Klay Thompson had a somewhat different post-game tune. The Warriors’ problems are a result of a persistent injury problem that affects the team in addition to problems with lineups and rotations.

Fans react to Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson’s statement in a press conference after the loss

After losing to the New Orleans Pelicans 141-105 in their second straight game, the Golden State Warriors fell to 12th place in the NBA Western Conference rankings. The loss devastated the fans and team. But it could have calmed the situation if Thompson hadn’t said that statement in a press conference. As a result of his comments, Stephen Curry is now the scene’s hero, and he is the enemy.

Curry took a long time to pause at the beginning, probably considering a wide range of areas. His approach to the matter was so different from Thompson’s that it attracted a great deal of notice. He’s now being referred to as impolite and other things. Additionally, Klay Thompson is receiving remarks that suggest he is selfish and rude. On the other hand, Stephen Curry received all the respect he deserved from people for accepting responsibility for their loss.

After their victory, the New Orleans Pelicans improved to 23-15 and now sit sixth in the NBA Western Conference. They will put themselves to the test on January 12 against the Denver Nuggets, the reigning champions, after winning their last two games. On January 12, the Golden State Warriors will also embark on a four-game road trip.
