“This is going to be a different m*therf**king game” Stephen Curry REVEALS words exchanged with Celtics fanbase during hyped Game 4

Stephen Curry had some of the most important games of his entire career during the 2022 NBA Finals. This one a win or lose everything moment for the legendary shooter, and he did not fail to deliver at the highest when needed. The Golden State Warriors reclaimed the throne and Curry fulfilled a mission in his legacy. There is no doubt why he should be named among the greatest players ever.

Prior to their finals run, Stephen Curry and Warriors were considered underdogs to win the title. To them, it was important that they proved a point to their doubters. Steph joined the Old Man and the Three podcast before his game against the Houston Rockets and addressed the iconic Game 4 he had against the Boston Celtics last season.

He reasoned why he was very emotional during the Game 4 battle saying, “Watching injuries happen to my teammates, myself… go through a year when you hear all the doubts that you’ll never be back there, at that level. Just the fight to make the play-in tournament the year before. And what it took to get ourselves some life and fast-forward to last season you believe you can get there, but you really don’t.”

He continued, “We were tested in a way that was new… This was a different element of emotional response we hadn’t really, you know, seen before… you get into that first quarter and were already down 12-4 or something like that. We slowly gain some momentum. And think we were down, I don’t know, I hit that one shot and I started yelling at the crowd, I was like, ‘This is going to be a different m*therf**king game.’ My momma got mad at me because of my word choice.”

Stephen Curry along with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green certainly fought their battles well during the 2022 NBA Finals. But their fate took a massive U-turn this season after losing all their games on the road until their recent bout with the Rockets. Thompson is a mere shell of himself ever since his return but shows signs of improvement.

Stephen Curry is averaging 31.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game this season as the Warriors sit at the 11th seed in the Western Conference. They have a lot more to improve on while having one of the lowest productivity numbers in the league. They rank among the bottom five in points allowed with 117.4 per game. Offensively they have been creeping up slowly with the help of Curry’s offensive excellence and the rest of the team allowing to led by him.
