Stephen Curry SHOCKED by LeBron James’ gameplay at Lakers-Warriors, tells Draymond Green – “Yo I’m trying to figure Bron out”

LeBron James’ adaptability was on full display in Game 3 of the NBA playoffs on Saturday night, as he took a backseat to D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Davis and allowed them to control the Lakers’ offense. The move paid off, as the Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors 127-97 to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
According to Draymond Green, James’ adjustment baffled Stephen Curry. “Steph said to me, ‘Yo, I’m trying to figure Bron out.’ After not taking a shot for most of the first half, he ended up getting it going 21, 8, and 8….it was big, very big. Hit some big shots. One of the threes he hit on the wing in the first half was a very timely bucket, and it slowed our run down,” Green revealed on the latest episode of The Draymond Green podcast.
LeBron’s strategies are working. In the first quarter, he didn’t take a single shot, and in the first half, he only attempted five field goals. Instead, the 38-year-old settled into the primary facilitator position and let his teammates handle the offensive load.
James got out to a poor start, but he quickly picked up the pace. With eight rebounds, eight assists, and 21 points overall, he finished the game. Although James is averaging 22.1 points per game during these playoffs, he is not the team’s primary offensive threat for the first time in his career. LeBron is instead playing more off the ball, pacing himself for a long postseason run.
Curry’s Warriors Face Must-Win Game 4
Tonight’s Game 4 of the NBA playoffs is a must-win for the Golden State Warriors. In Game 3, the Warriors made less than 30% of their long-range tries after dropping 46 3-pointers in the first two games. Anthony Davis dominated on both ends of the court and finished the game with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks as a result of Draymond getting into foul trouble early on.
The entire team, not just Steph, will need another productive night from three-point range if the Dubs are to recover and even the series tonight. They’ll also need to improve their control of AD, who has had an unpredictable postseason run so far.
The Warriors have to win in Game 4. But the defending champions have repeatedly demonstrated that they perform at their peak under pressure. Hopefully, the same will be the case tonight.
