Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is undoubtedly one of the greatest basketball players ever to exist. He is also the greatest shooter ever and one can’t deny that. As he has the talent and potential to cook your favorite team and drop a 40-bomb on their head just by showcasing his shooting greats. That’s a very important reason for his tag of being a Chef in the league. But Stephen Curry never limited his talent and greatness to the basketball court and has got himself a lot of name, respect, fame and game off the court too. As he is also good at Golf and can dominate the green field too just like he does on the NBA hardwood.

Stephen Curry’s unlimited range applies on the Golf field too as recently he has appeared on many tours and showed out the world how great he is. Honestly, there’s nothing left to prove for Stephen Curry to anyone since he won his first ever Finals MVP by getting himself his fourth championship ring and wrapping it all up in six games for the Boston Celtics. He has one of the best resumes in the league and that’s really a hard to match one as he has pulled in many unthinkable and great records too. Many also have him listed in their G.O.A.T conversations.

With all these achievements, Stephen Curry has also earned himself a bag and has one of the biggest contracts in the league right now. But him being the Chef he has taken care of as many people he can and made sure they are good. As he never fails to give back to the society and reinvest in them. He already runs a foundation which goes by the name of Eat. Learn. Play and recently he revealed that he has a new mission on his hand and mind. That is to promote Golf to kids via his new program.

Stephen Curry in a recent interview of his with “Afrotech” spoke about Golf being an expensive sport and how talented kids just can’t get in the room due to the finance it requires. As he quoted: “I know that there are amazingly talented kids out there who get lost in the shuffle because it’s an expensive sport. There are so many barriers to play. From coaching equipment, travel, you know, registration fees, like everything you could think of.”

Further, giving a solution for it Stephen Curry introduced his “underrated” Golf program and quoted: “We wanted to support and create a pipeline for underrepresented communities in the game and give them access. We’re trying to provide equity, access, and opportunity through our ‘Underrated’ golf program. I started it because I understand how much the game has meant to me from not only a perspective of fun and joy but also because it’s introduced me to so many amazing people. I’ve gotten to travel and play some amazing courses.  There are a lot of leaders in our world that spend a lot of time out in the golf world. There’s a lot of cohesion there. So, it’s my hope that eventually, we can not only get some Black and brown kids on the PGA tours but also in the world of business and leadership.”

Stephen Curry has never backed down or held himself back and has always stood up for the younger talented generation. He literally changed the game of basketball and single-handedly influenced everyone who knows ball as we now we got kids pulling up from midcourt. So it’s fair to say that he has the potential to bring in a change and get the job done. So his new program which aims at bringing an easy road to golf will be surely a successful one.
