Steve Kerr
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke about his team’s miserable performance. The Warriors recorded 6-9 as the Phoenix Suns defeated them. With this defeat, the Warriors lost their eighth straight road game to start the season.
Steve Kerr was talking at the post-game conference when he said, “For right now anyway, we’re just scattered, It’s a pick-up game. It’s a pick-up game out there. There’s no execution at either end, no commitment to the group to get three stops in a row and execute on offense.” He added, “Share the ball, If somebody’s open, throw it to them. If somebody helps on a rotation, crack back and block out the big guy.”
Steve Kerr further stated, “If things aren’t going well, somebody call the group into the foul line and motivate the group. All that stuff is missing right now. I saw a lot of hanging heads. I think we’re feeling sorry for ourselves and nobody’s going to feel sorry for us. Everyone can’t wait to play us and kick our ass.” It is still very early to assess concrete results as it is a long NBA season ahead and even the head coach is aware of that.

The Suns had a formidable performance to outnumber the struggling Golden State Warriors 130-119. The Warriors are now 0-8 for the road games for the first time since 1989-1990. Cameron Payne had a career-high 29 points for the Suns and Devin Booker added 27 points.
Mikal Bridges had 23 points with career-high nine assists. Torrey Craig added 13 points and ten rebounds. Warriors’ Chef Curry nailed 50 points which included 17 of 28 shots, going 7 of 11 from 3-point range. He didn’t receive help from his teammates other than Klay Thompson, who scored 19 points but shot just 6 of 17.
Golden State is on a champions side and they know how to return. Their players looked out of touch and once again, Chef Curry was left strangled to carry the team’s load on his shoulders. They should assess their weak areas and work on them to get their campaign back on track. The Phoenix Suns play the Utah Jazz next, while the Golden State Warriors will eye a win against the New York Knicks.
