In 2019, the Steve Kerr-coached Golden State Warriors won the western conference once again and were back in the NBA Finals and ready to go against the Toronto Raptors. They were about to lift their fourth title in five seasons and become the first team since Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal’s Los Angeles Lakers to three-peat (win three straight NBA championships). But unfortunately, nothing like that happened and they are yet to win their fourth title. As injuries just ruined it all and the dynasty days were long gone. Before the start of the 2019 NBA Finals Guillermo Rodriguez, the comedic correspondent from Jimmy Kimmel Live was back in the league for media interviews and had Steve Kerr viral all over the internet.
Guillermo Rodriguez questioned Steve Kerr in a different way by referring three-peat as threesome as he said: “Are you excited for threesome?… For a threesome, three years in a row”. Steve Kerr was first shocked listening to the question but soon responded with a funny response and had the crew laughing up as he quoted: “Oh yeah you meant three-peat, oh yeah, I’d be excited for either one.” It didn’t take long for this particular interview to go viral on the web and after years with the Warriors about to lift their fourth title it’s back again.
