“Was about to kill someone” Steve Nash loses his cool as he makes a wild run at the referee, fans in disbelief

“Was about to kill someone” Steve Nash loses his cool as he makes a wild run at the referee, fans in disbelief

Players and coaches holding Steve Nash back

Since taking over as the Brooklyn Nets‘ head coach in 2020, Steve Nash has largely maintained a pleasant approach on the sidelines. Nash was ejected for the first time in his coaching career during the slightly uneventful game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Nets, who afterwards had to be restrained by his assistants.

The Brooklyn Nets were the victims of the NBA’s most turbulent summer as Kevin Durant’s desire to be traded and the eventual agreement to drop that demand produced a lot of headlines. Coach Steve Nash, though, remained enthusiastic despite all of this, but in their fifth NBA game of the 2022–23 season against the Bucks, he expressed all of his wrath and frustration for a no-call.

Near the top of the key in the last minutes of the third quarter, Patty Mills attempted to charge Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and however, officials made no calls, which infuriated Nash. The referee who is closest to the bench called Nash for a technical foul before Kevin Durant could return and bring the ball the other way. Nash went off on an official as he stormed toward midcourt, picking up another technical foul. Two assistant coaches and Royce O’Neale attempted to stop him while Nash eventually calmed down and exited the court.

Bucks’ win over the Nets pushes them to the last spot in their conference

Giannis Antetokounmpo was outstanding as the Milwaukee Bucks upset the Brooklyn Nets 110-99 on Wednesday night. Antetokounmpo ended with a total of 43 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists after scoring 34 points in the second half. Bobby Portis added 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Jrue Holiday contributed 15 points for Milwaukee. The Nets led Milwaukee by a score of 70-66 at the end of the third quarter, but Milwaukee outscored them by a total of 44-29 to win the game.

Kevin Durant had 33, Kyrie Irving had 27 and Royce O’Neale scored 12 points for the Nets where  Ben Simmons finished with at least as many fouls (4) as points in Milwaukee, shooting 2-of-7 from the floor to raise his season total to 9-of-20. Steve Nash, the Brooklyn Nets’ head coach, was dismissed from the game for the first time in his coaching career after disputing with the referees. As a result, he was not around as Giannis completed demolishing the Nets, putting their record to 1-3.

NBA fans in utter bewilderment as Steve Nash gets ejected for the first time

Although Steve Nash has never been regarded as an aggressive person, on Wednesday night, we got to see the other side of the Brooklyn Nets’ head coach. When Nash stormed the NBA referees in his team’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks, he was almost unthinkably changed and had to be held by his teammates, coaches, and players. The event garnered attention on social media, as reporters and fans were eager to point out that Nash’s typically composed persona had taken a sudden turn for the worse in his emotional outburst.

The YouTube fans were in shock seeing this:

The NBA twitter fans also gave their reactions as well:

Brooklyn is undoubtedly concerned by Nash’s dismissal, but it is the team’s painfully slow start this season—three losses in the first four games—that should worry everyone in this organization, which was expected to challenge for the NBA title. No one with this much superstar potential on the roster has ever had as difficult a coaching job as Nash has this year as the Nets are hard team to watch.
