NBA suspends 11 players without pay after Killian Hayes and Moritz Wagner on-court brutal brawl

Killian Hayes and Moritz Wagner's fight

Moritz Wagner and Killian Hayes got into a heated physical altercation recently during Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons’ match-up. The Motor City is known for the Pistons as they are labeled as the “Bad Boys”. But this time it was Orlando’s Moritz Wagner who started the fight during a loose ball chase and then got punched by Killian Hayes.

Fortunately, the league didn’t experience another Malice at the Palace like moment. But they were very close to doing so as Killian Hayes had Moritz Wagner unconscious for a moment after punching him in the back of his head. The fight took place with 33.2 seconds remaining for the second quarter to end. It all started with Mo Wagner shoving Killian Hayes into the Piston’s bench.

This wasn’t liked by the Pistons as they stood up to back their guard up. Hamidou Diallo pushed Mo into the bench where he got punched by Hayes. Players from both the sides came to back their guys up in the fight. The announcer knew what was coming and already handed out a warning to everyone on the sidelines.

But those weren’t enough to stop the Orlando Magic players from stepping in to help their guy, Moritz Wagner. And, now everyone who left the bench area during the fight is paying the price as the league has decided to suspend them.  Hamidou Diallo, Killian Hayes and Moritz Wagner though were ejected in the game itself for being directly involved in the fight. The Pistons won that match-up at 121-101.
