It was quite a reunion between Ty Lue and LeBron James after their recent match-up against each other. T-Lue, who formerly coached the Cleveland Cavilers and LeBron, had a chance to meet his old talisman yet again; this time while repping the jersey of the Los Angeles Lakers.

A pretty romantic meet-up – except for the scoreline as the LA Clippers, whom Ty Lue currently coaches, lost by a marginal 106-103 breaking their 5-game-winning streak.

After the game, LeBron was asked about James Harden‘s Clippers, a connotation he didn’t really like, restating it as “T-Lue Clippers”:

You said James Harden Clippers? Nah, it’s the T-Lue Clippers. I know T-Lue very well.

The game in itself had it’s own its bits of shares and fun. It was a thrilling NBA matchup between the two city rivals. The Lakers, who entered the game with an 18-19 record, have finally found a bit of improvement after their 4-dreadful losses in a row. As for the Clippers, it was the end of their win streak, losing narrowly by just 3 points at the hands of their rivals.

LeBron James was yet again the talk of the town displaying total dominance on the court. In 38 mins, he was able to score 25 points, recorded 7 assists, and grabbed 8 rebounds in the derby. While his presence has been felt massively, James continues to play a crucial role in pushing the Lakers to glory.

Lakers Snap Clippers’ Winning Streak

The Los Angeles Clippers have been nothing but phenomenal this season, pushing with every chance they get. Currently 4th in the Western Conference table, one would have expected them to go toe-to-toe against an “out of form” Lakers side. But things didn’t go exactly as planned.

Both city rivals met at the Crypto arena, which had a wild buzz in the atmosphere. And it was the Clippers’ star, James Harden, who fell short with a relatively subdued performance. Harden finished the game with 15 points, 9 assists, and 4 rebounds in 39 minutes.

His teammate, Ivica Zubac, was on absolute fire, registering 19 rebounds and 22 points – showing the effective side of the game. At the end of the day, it was a hard loss but a reminder of what they lacked and how they can move forward this season, especially on the road.
