This wouldn’t however be possible without the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The duo once again led the scoring efforts for Boston. The Boston Celtics defeated the Chicago Bulls 107-99 on Monday night to advance to the season’s halfway point with the best record in the NBA thanks to Jayson Tatum’s 32 points and Jaylen Brown’s 19 points.
With 24 seconds left, Al Horford made a crucial 3-pointer to help secure the victory for the defending Eastern Conference champions, who are 29-12 through the first 41 games. Grant Williams contributed 20 points, and Al Horford had seven rebounds and eight points.

Chicago Bulls unable to stop Tatum and Co despite fightback
The game between the Bulls and Celtics was a close one. The Bulls were only behind by under 10 points after each quarter. Zach LaVine scored 15 of his team-high 27 points for the Bulls in the fourth quarter, keeping Boston from pulling away until the dying seconds. He added six assists and seven rebounds to his total.

DeMar DeRozan (13 points) left the game in the third period due to a strained right quad. After falling while attempting to drive by Al Horford of Boston, he initially stayed in, but he was later disqualified.

With 24 seconds left, Horford’s shot rebounded against the rim and went through for a 104-99 advantage following which Tatum dunked, sealing Bulls’ fate.
