1. Aaron Gordon’s one hand slam

Aaron Gordon was a perfect addition to the Denver Nuggets roster to round off their needs on both ends of the floor. He proved to everybody how good of an attacker he is. He helped extend the Nuggets lead against the Phoenix Suns in overtime with 24 seconds left on clock. Denver celebrated Christmas with a victory assisted by Gordon’s monstrous one hand jam.

2. Ayo Dosunmu’s Hail Mary

The Chicago Bulls are still extremely blessed with incredible talent. Ayo Dosunmu’s buzzer-beater against the Atlanta Hawks last Wednesday was nearly impossible. DeMar DeRozan aimed for a mid-range jumper that missed the rim completely. Ayo caught the rebound and shot a Hail Mary despite being guarded by four Hawks players.

3. Jayson Tatum posterizes the Greek Freak

Jayson Tatum could possibly be making a run for league MVP this season. He made it a point to prove it against the former back to back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. As the Boston Celtics took over the Milwaukee Bucks, Tatum pulled off one of the best sequences this season and slammed the ball over Giannis. Tatum is putting up 30.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

4. Hot potato pass by Joel Embiid

Once again, it’s the MVPs on the rise making others run for their money. Joel Embiid has transitioned into a lethal scorer for the Philadelphia 76ers. He has proven against all odds, rising above everyone else. Embiid showed off his court vision when James Harden passed the ball inside the paint as he was surrounded by three defenders. Embiid tapped the ball to Shake Milton for the three.

5. The Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings are beginning to make noise in the Western after several upsetting seasons. During the game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Neemias Quetas, Malik Monk and Terence Davis pulled off one of the toughest sequences ever. Davis secured the ball before it nearly went out of bounds, Monk took possession and drove to the basket with a lob to Quetas for the one hand jam.

6. Donovan Mitchell vs. Jrue Holiday

The Cleveland Cavaliers completely blew out the Milwaukee Bucks. During the end of the third quarter, Donovan Mitchell banked a deep three-pointer as the clock ran out. With 1.6 seconds left, Jrue Holiday caught the inbound pass beyond half court and replicated Mitchell’s bank shot. The two shared a brief hug to appreciate what was done.

7. Josh Okogie hits a 360 layup

NBA fans have been impressed with many 360-layups of dunks over the years. This one was quite different and very tricky. Josh Okogie, while being guarded three Lakers defenders, put up a ball fake and hit a 360° spin move right under the basket.

8. Half-court buzzer-beater by Shake Milton

Shake Mitlon has been emerging as a lethal weapon from three. The Philadelphia 76ers has been lucky with him lately. While playing against the New York Knicks, James Harden was able to deflect the ball from Jalen Brunson. Milton picked up the ball shot a dagger from half-court at the buzzer.

9. Nikola Jokic’s unconventional pass

Nikola Jokic could make history by becoming a three-time MVP this season. The Nuggets are at the top of the Western Conference again and this is as close as Jokic could be to winning the MVP and title. Once again, he sent out a quick reminder of how good of a passer after bouncing a pass from KCP between his legs to Bruce Brown Jr., for the slam.

10. Jayson Tatum slams with authority

The NBA might have a new GOAT arriving to the scene very quickly. MVP candidate Jayson Tatum is helping the Celtics bounce back strong after their NBA Finals defeat last season. Even though they lost against the Indiana Pacers, Tatum had a monstrous dunk over Aaron Nesmith, sending him off-balance to the stands.
