“LeBranding” – NBA Twitter blast LeBron James for crossing out ‘S’ from Sacramento Kings

LeBron James has been the truly deserving king of the NBA for two decades and there is no second opinion on that. He has been the face of the league for as long as even a middle age person would remember. But LeBron did something recently that was clearly not appreciated by the fans on social media.

In a recent post of his Instagram handle pic that the Los Angeles Lakers uploaded yesterday, he was seen practicing in the Sacramento Kings facility ahead of the Lakers’ tip-off against the Kings. The picture was captionedThe Man In The Arena” but a closer look at the picture had a different narrative to it.

James’ uploaded picture had “s” from the Sacramento Kings scratched out. Even before James got into the league, he has been known by many names like The Chosen One, King James, etc. It was not hard to guess that James had deliberately scratched off “s” in the picture.

It was inevitable that the NBA fans would take notice of the former MVP’s trickery. Obviously, fans took notice of it and bashed LeBron on social media upon his public post. Fans mocked the Lakers star for his social media antics and called him out for perhaps branding himself openly.

Fans troll LeBron James for branding himself in the recent Instagram post

Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings faced each other in the Golden 1 Center on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the game proved to be even worse for James and definitely a bad follow-up after branding his name in the Kings’ arena.

Fans trolled LeBron on Twitter, as one of them wrote, “Hah he won’t be able to cross out the L though.” Another fan wrote, “Lol you thief!!!!! Credit grabber!!!!” Here are some reactions from the fans on Twitter.

The Lakers lost to the Kings 120-134 for their 18th loss of the season. They were playing without their star Anthony Davis who is out with a foot injury that he suffered against the Denver Nuggets in their last meeting. Davis is reported to miss at least a month with the injury.

James though, had a good night for himself as he scored 31 points, and dropped 11 dimes in the losing cause. He is one of the hardest-working individuals in the league and shows up every game despite being eligible for nights off without criticism. After the loss, the NBA champion said, “I’m going to show up to work and be ready to go. I’m going to lead the guys on the floor when I’m on the floor.”
