Luka Doncic is really a generational talent and the magic he has is getting the job done out there. He is living up to all the expectations everyone around the league had from him. The Slovenian All-Star point guard can really be one of the greatest players ever to step on the court. And, he is already in that conversation. As 23-year-old Luka Doncic is already making history out there.
The Dallas Mavericks have won six straight games and it’s been possible only because of Luka Doncic’s unreal offensive run. The former Rookie of the Year is the only player in the league to ever have 250 points, 50 rebounds and 50 assists over the course of five games. He has been dominating the offensive end for the last five games of Mavericks.
In those five games, he has scored 50 or more points thrice and has even got himself a piece of history with a legendary triple-double. He started by scoring 50 points, 8 assists and 10 rebounds against the Rockets. Then almost got a triple-double against the Lakers on Christmas by recording 32 points, 9 assists and 9 rebounds. But against the New York Knicks, he made history by recording a never made before stat line.
As against the Knicks, he got 60 points (career-high), 21 rebounds (career-high) and 10 assists. He didn’t stop there and against the Rockets got another triple-double by recording 35 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds. Luka Doncic after these four great performances got another chance to end his year on a high note. And, the Slovenian superstar didn’t disappoint.
As Luka Doncic ended his year with a bang and dropped 51 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds against the San Antonio Spurs. Gregg Popovich wanted to hold him under 50 as he confidently announced before the game. But unfortunately, he and the Spurs failed to do so. Now Luka is leading the race to bag the MVP award this season. But the fans have already declared him the league’s MVP.

So far in the season, he’s averaging 34.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.6 blocks. He is shooting 51.1% from the field and 36.7% from downtown. Because of him the Mavericks right now are ranked in the 4th spot of the western conference with the record of 21 wins and 16 losses.
