“You filthy sob” Twitter goes bereserk as Kings’ De’Aaron Fox calls game from the logo against Magic

De'Aaron Fox hitting the game winner

The Sacramento Kings and De’Aaron Fox had other ideas, preventing the Orlando Magic from completing their comeback. Fox ended up saving the Kings twice by first forcing overtime and afterward, in an epic fashion, winning the game at the buzzer against their neck-and-neck contest against the Magic on Saturday night.

De’Aaron Fox, one of the best young point guards in the NBA, is one of the select few draft picks who has excelled in Sacramento. Fox deserves to have this upcoming season optimized based on his performance as he put in more effort throughout the offseason, It was a wonderful sight for Kings supporters and a message for the doubters since he is now giving them an outstanding performance. The only thing we need to know about Fox’s performance on Saturday is that he first forced overtime and then wrapped the game up.

The Magic missed a pair of attempts to win the game at the conclusion of regulation after De’Aaron Fox’s midrange jumper tied the score at 106. With 6.6 seconds left in the overtime period, Magic forward Chuma Okeke leveled the score by dunking off a Kings fumble in transition, potentially setting up a second overtime. De’Aaron Fox then took the ball and pulled up from the Amway Center logo to erupt the arena into stillness, and the buzzer-beater handed the Kings a 126-123 victory.

The Kings edge out Magic in a dramatic fashion

Domantas Sabonis led the Kings with 25 points and 11 rebounds and with 13 points from Fox in the third quarter The Kings overcame a 20-point deficit to score 65 points in the first half.

Paolo Banchero had 33 points and 16 rebounds to lead Orlando. Bol Bol ended with 23 points and seven rebounds, while Franz Wagner contributed 31 points and six assists. Banchero, despite the defeat, became just the second rookie after LeBron James to record a 30-point, 15-rebound performance. They had a game-high 54.3% shooting percentage, but only made 4 of 23 three-point attempts, giving the Kings the advantage. The Magic somehow went on to tie the game at overtime but was faced with the dagger from Fox.

Fans on twitter reacts to De’Aaron Fox’s insane game winner

De’Aaron Fox tied the score at 106-106 with a pull-up bank shot in the closing seconds of regulation after having previously performed enough wonders to send the Kings into overtime. The Magic would fail to score on the subsequent possession, forcing the extra five minutes. The Kings once again resorted to Fox, who barely made it past half-court before soaring and sinking his game-winning shot.

The NBA fans around twitter went into a frenzy after the insane buzzer beater:

After a 0-5 start to the season, the victory gives the Kings their third victory in their last four games. This was intended to be the year Sacramento finally made progress and possibly ended the current longest postseason absence in major North American sports with the acquisitions of Fox, Sabonis, Malik Monk and Keegan Murray. Although the fans and the organization shouldn’t raise any expectations, Saturday’s victory is a good first step in that direction.
