Following his undergraduate time at Kentucky, Tyler Herro, in the NBA, was selected by the Miami Heat as the 13th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Herro signed a significant long-term shoe deal with Nike, under which he will get $9.5 million in compensation over the course of three years, from 2019 to 2021.

Hero became the first athlete in the history of the NBA to play in the NBA finals when the Heat defeated Giannis’ Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA 2020 Playoffs. As a result, he was selected for the NBA All-Rookie second team during the same season. On October 2, 2022, Tyler Herro and the Miami Heat negotiated a big contract that resulted in a four-year, $130 million contract.

This major deal served as a turning point in Herro’s career and sealed his loyalty to the Heat. Herro made history by scoring his first triple-double of his career in November 2022.
