Victor Wembanyama has been shocking the league ever since he was drafted No. 1 overall by the San Antonio Spurs in 2023. Every time he is on the court, fans expect an insane play from the towering Frenchman. Tonight, against the Memphis Grizzlies, he was a part of two highlight-reel plays on both ends of the floor, adding more to his growing fame.

With the game close in the final minute of the 3rd quarter, Grizzlies rising star GG Jackson drove left for a layup. Victor Wembanyama blocked the shot despite Jackson trying to pump fake it. The 7′ 4″ phenom picked up the loose ball, drove up the court, and passed it to Devin Vassell.

Vassell, seeing the defensive positions in front of him, lobbed the ball to Wembanyama who was streaking to the basket. The rookie big man caught the ball from just beyond the free-throw line and threw it down for a dunk.

The Grizzlies won the game 99-97, despite Wembanyama’s 31 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks. The Memphis Grizzlies had 5 players contributing in double digits and enforcing a stingy defense to go home with the win. However, the play from Wembanyama did leave fans excited about his future potential.
