The game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies was nothing short of a thriller. It was not LeBron James who took the team toward an unexpected victory. Dennis Schroder came clutch on both sides of the floor and shocked the Grizzlies. He slapped and stripped the ball off of Demond Bane and scored the basket on the other end, also drawing the fall.
With 13.2 seconds remaining on the clock, the Lakers were trailing by (119-120) by 1 point against Memphis. Bane took the inbound pass and kept the ball protected in his hands. He probably expected the Lakers to fall him and sp could shoot two free throws. However, Dennis came running from behind and stripped the ball from Bane. Schroder took two dribbles and made a layup shot over the two players. He also drew a fall on the play from Bane himself.

In a last-second thriller, the Lakers defeat Grizzlies behind Dennis Schroder’s last-second heroic
It wasn’t an easy game for none of the players on the roster. LeBron had 23 points but he shot below 40% from the field. He made only 8 of 21 shots while shooting below 25% from the 3-point line. However, it was Russell Westbrook who had an excellent night. He scored game-high 29 points, shot 10 of 18 from the field, and also 50% from the three-point line. “We’ve shown what we can be and what we can do,” Ham said.
Ja Morant scored team-high 22 points for the Grizzlies but shot only 31% from the field. To reach 22 points, Morant had to take 29 shots. For most of the game, Westbrook was defending Morant. “I know I’m a very good defender,” Westbrook said. Brandon Clarke and Tye Jones scored 20 points each. The game remained close since the third quarter, but the Lakers remained patient and stole the game when they expected the least. “A hell of a game. We’ve shown what we can be and what we can do,” Ham said.
