Bam Adebayo has just brought in the playoffs energy by firing a shot towards Jayson Tatum by trash-talking him. Sitting alongside JJ Redick he fired his shot for his childhood friend regarding the block he had on him in overtime during the Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals in 2020 Bubble. The Miami Heat eventually advanced to the Finals winning the series against the Celtics. It’s the same time, same stage, and the same team with many same players around. As again the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are going against each other in the Eastern Conference Finals. Bam Adebayo and the Heat squad though backed up the trash talk their star center initiated as they lead the series by 1-0 after bullying the Celtics in Game 1.
Miami Heat hosted the Boston Celtics at FTX Arena for Game 1 of the conference finals. The game was closely contested and head to head all the time as both the teams were at war against each other to get the lead early in the series. The Boston Celtics were the favored ones to win the game. But the third quarter heroics of the Miami Heat under the leadership of Jimmy Butler (outscored the Celtics by 39-14) eventually got them the dub and the defensive heroics of Bam Adebayo were also equally important in the win. Bam Adebayo was right there in the post shattering dreams of the Celtics to win the game by contesting their shots and guarding them.
Bam Adebayo in the 37 minutes he played against the Celtics dropped 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and got himself 4 important blocks. He also made it to the headlines but not for his in-game performance. But for the trash-talk against Jayson Tatum before Game 1 which he even backed up by winning it all.

Bam Adebayo on JJ Redick’s podcast “The Old Man and the Three” discussed the league, playoffs, and Heats’ run to the championship he also talked about a clutch block of his in the Bubble during Eastern Conference Finals Game 1 and that’s where he fired a shot against Jayson Tatum. Bam Adebayo discussing that block quoted: “I and JT know each other since we were in the park. I’m petty, so the first thing on my mind was like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna talk my shit. Every year I send him the anniversary picture like, ‘Happy anniversary, man. I appreciate you.’”
That’s really madness to celebrate the anniversary of a clutch block with your rivals but that’s what Bam Adebayo does. Bam Adebayo and Jayson Tatum are also childhood friends so these exchanges between them are all very cool and understandable. But now they are going against each other once again and will show out everything they can to win the game. The Miami Heat as of now leads the series by 1-0 but that’s not the end. As the Celtics are capable of bouncing back and getting the job done.
