In a thrilling culmination to the NBA’s first-ever In-Season Tournament, retired basketball legend Julius Erving, affectionately known as ‘Dr. J’ stole the spotlight during the showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Indiana Pacers on Saturday in Las Vegas. The final gave a good closure for the first NBA In-Season Tournament. In addition, Dr. J sat down with some great friends such as Jerome Williams, Ahmad Rashad, and Mitch Richmond.

With the emotional buzz of a quartet, especially after Lebron James’ crazy dunk in the fourth session, the town was excited. There was an electric mood that was brewed up to a climax when Erving and his buddies watched James’ out-of-this-world playing with amazement.

It was the first edition of the In-Season Tournament, and the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Indiana Pacers 123-109. In this game, Anthony Davis had an impressive stat line of 41 points, 20 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks. LeBron won the IST MVP for his amazing performances throughout the tournament.

The Lakers had a nearly insurmountable lead, but the resilient Pacers held strong, closing the gap to three points in the middle of the fourth quarter (102-99). The Lakers responded with an immediate 13-0 run to wrap up the game a few minutes later, making the final score 115-99.
