Russell Westbrook is back in the headlines and unfortunately, the reason isn’t something positive about him or his game. Instead, it’s the disrespect fans are throwing at him. Fans are really forgetting how great he is and why we call him Mr. Triple-Double. And, honestly, Russell Westbrook surely deserves a good part of the disrespect he’s facing but now it’s getting a little too far away. As fans are crossing the line and going out of their way to mess with him.
This isn’t just limited to the internet as the fans in the arena are also a big headache for Russell Westbrook since he’s blamed for everything and is always criticized. After the Los Angeles Lakers fell short against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Battle of L.A. A fan near the tunnel chose violence and decided to sh*t-talk Russell Westbrook. Honestly, his criticism was fair but he was off-the-limits the way he made Brodie know about it.
But this time Russell Westbrook didn’t let anybody disrespect him as he called out the fan. And, soon the tables were turned and a hater was converted into a genuine supporter. This happened after Russ failed to back his team up and sold the game away as many believe.
Westbrook’s contributions were limited to only 2 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Brodie lived up to the tag of “Westbrick” as he attempted 11 shots from the field and 6 from downtown but made none of those. But many around and especially the fan near the tunnel are forgetting the elite defense he played against the Clippers while locking down everyone against him on the court.
The fan near the tunnel saw Russell Westbrook returning to the locker room after the loss and yelled: “Westbrook you suck a**.” Brodie heard it and made sure he calls out the fan and while doing so he quoted: “What’d you say?” These words of his really had the grown man changed as now he was a supporter who said: “C’mon baby we need you.” The interaction by Brodie really had the fan scared as the video posted by ClutchPoints shows.
Honestly, such fans are lucky as they are either protected by security or are up on the stairs where players can’t really reach. So they say whatever they want and whenever they want. And, trash-talking and sh*t-talking are what they are good at. But now it’s high time for Russell and he really has to shut all these chirping mouths and win against them.

Can Russell Westbrook lead the Los Angeles Lakers across?
Russell Westbrook can single-handedly carry the Los Angeles Lakers to the post-season and even the NBA Finals as he really is that guy. But for that to happen he has to improve his shooting skills and be more confident every time he steps on a basketball court. He’ll also have to develop some good chemistry with the team and the front office which has him placed on the trading block every now and then.
If the BIG 3 of the Los Angeles Lakers are able to find a rhythm and build some good chemistry around themselves. And, stay healthy they can really turn around the whole narrative and get another ring registered under the franchise. But for that to happen they’ll have to put in a lot of work and get some improvements made in the roster or else it’s nothing but just another terrible season for the franchise.
