Bronny James participated in the All-American dunk contest and put on a show for the world with some exquisite athleticism. Bronny James finished 2nd in the game but had two outstanding dunks. His first dunk involved a reverse windmill dunk after lobbing the ball to himself, which he pulled off with ease. His head was almost at the rim, which caused the crowd to go wild.
NBA Twitter had some incredible reactions to the dunk as people were likening his athleticism to his old man LeBron James. Bronny is following in his father’s footsteps as Bron also participated in the All-American dunk contest in high school; however, LeBron won the competition in 2003. “Zhuri thinks she’s d wade,” said the Twitter user in response to Bronny’s younger sister holding up a ‘9’ following his spectacular dunk.
Bronny James scored 57 points out of 132 to make it to the final round but lost to the Duke commit Sean Stewart. Future Duke students won the three-point. Bronny has still not decided on his college yet, but based on his performances this season and in this contest, he will surely get some exciting offers.
LeBron James felt Bronny should have got 10’s for all of his dunks
The King was active on Twitter during his son’s dunk contest while his wife Savannah and daughters were present at the event. LeBron, who won the competition in 2003, hoped his son could continue his legacy and felt he did enough to win. “It’s cool. It should have been 10s across the board! For sure. Hahaha“, Tweeted the King after the dunk contest.
Bronny brought out his younger brother Bryce James for his last dunk, where he jumped over him for a ferocious slam. Despite being younger than him, Bryce is taller than Bronny, which made for an amazing show. Bronny initially tried to do a double pump after jumping over Bryce but missed his first three attempts and proceeded to do a regular dunk over Bruce instead.
The multiple attempts affected the voting, but Lebron’s dunk was worth a 10. Savannah and Zhuri James on the sidelines were also holding up an umber ten poster after the dunk in support of Bronny. Bronny still has a chance to do something LeBron never did, which is participating in an NBA dunk contest. LeBron has stated it does not interest him, but having a chance to do it with Bronny might make the King reconsider.
