“This is a monumental moment” Vince Carter honors Kevin Durant for passing him on the All-Time Scoring list
Kevin Durant and Vince Carter
Kevin Durant has been one of the greatest scorers of the ball that the NBA has ever seen. Such talent is extremely rare to find and only appears once in a while. KD entered the league in 2007 and quickly took over the spotlight with his abilities. Standing close to seven feet tall, he stood strong and played as well as any guard in the league.
The current Brooklyn Nets player recently made headlines after surpassing Vince Carter for the nineteenth position on the All-Time scoring list. He currently has 25,754 points recorded and could easily crack the top ten within a season or two.
The Dunk Master shared his appreciation toward Kevin Durant in a video that was uploaded by the Brooklyn Nets’ official Twitter account. He said, “KD, what’s happening man? This is a monumental moment and this is just the beginning, I know. It was a great moment for me to sit in the 19th spot for a good little while. And now to see you move on and get me out of your way as you move your way into the top ten soon, I wanted to send this message and say congratulations.“
He continued, “We’ve had a pretty cool friendship and had some pretty cool conversations. And to see this happen with you in that Nets uniform, as I was once a Net, it’s a proud moment. I hope you enjoy it. I know you’re not satisfied… until then man, congratulations once again. Well deserved. Keep balling.“
Kevin Durant felt honored surpassing his idol on the All-Time Scoring list
Kevin Durant has most certainly been an idol and inspiration to many around him. He was once a young lad who idolized Vince Carter himself. During the post-game interview, he said, “Vince Carter was the first player I watched and idolized as a kid.” The Slim Reaper is a certified killer on the court who will be recognized as one of the greatest players of all time.
KD helped the Nets snap their four-game losing streak and escape from having another loss at the Barclays Center. He scored 36 points against the Indiana Pacers while grabbing 9 rebounds and giving out 7 assists as well. The Nets have a long season ahead of them and Durant is their biggest asset in hand.
