I always tell my son when he plays soccer that the most important part of going out is having fun. The joy, the energy, is so important.

Russell Westbrook, who is married to his long-time partner Nina Eral, is blessed with 3 beautiful children. Noah, 5, and twin daughters Jordyn and Skye, 3. But the hate that Russell received was a very alarming moment in their life. So much so, that even Nina had highlighted the issue that was looming around them almost every moment through her tweets.

I don't want to even bring my kids to that game because I don't want my kids to hear their dad getting called names.

Added Russell Westbrook on standing with her wife’s tweets, which talked about the abuse and death threats she and her family received. And it was definitely in an emotionally exhausted tone which showed the human side of any athlete that faced these issues.

There was this term “WestBrick” circulating among a few Lakers fans, aimed at his poor performance in his time at the Los Angeles Lakers. And ever since joining them in 2021, he alongside his family had been a regular subject to heckling and catcalls. Even his wife tweeted out the abuse and threats her family received, saying it was ‘super unfortunate’ and ‘super upsetting’.

While the situation still looms around, there has been a shade of light upon him and his family. Since his arrival on the other side of Los Angeles, the Point Guard seems, he and his family are settling well. And on the basketball side, he hopes he regains his form and can help the Clippers to glory soon.
