NFL Star Odell Beckham Jr. considers Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson to be the real MVP of the 2022 NBA Finals and thanked him for his inspiration as the team won their 4th NBA Title in 8 seasons. Prior to game 6 of the finale, LA Rams’ WR Odell Beckham considers Klay Thompson as a true winner in the series and should be awarded the MVP Trophy. Klay Thompson returned to the finals with the Golden State Warriors after 2 years break and there is no doubt that it must be a good feeling for him. Thompson already expressed his excitement and joy over the same during the Western Conference Trophy presentation ceremony. Thompson had missed two seasons in a row with torn Achilles injury but bounced back strong for the games.

Odell Beckham acknowledges the fight Thompson had gone through to play again at the highest level as he himself had a similar injury back in 2020 when he was playing for the Cleveland Browns team. The post shared by Beckham was highly appreciated as many fans too cheered for Thompson.

Klay Thompson made a big return for Golden State Warriors in the 2022 season

Klay Thompson is one of the most loved NBA stars among the fans and players. A top-class shooter is an assassin on the court – sniping three-pointers time and time again. But he is a friendly and great guy off the court, making him a lovable athlete. But back in the 2019 NBA Finals, where he suffered a horrifying Achilles injury, keeping him out for 2 seasons.

Klay made his way back into the game with hard work and dedication towards the game, claiming his starting spot with the same efficient and effective plays. The Golden State Warriors may have the appearance of the sixth final in eight seasons, but for Klay, it’s 6 in 6.

Klay did make a strong comeback in the season and played his best basketball over the period. 3-time NBA Champion, Thompson has had some incredible highs when he looked like ‘vintage Klay’. He scored a season-high 41 points against New Orleans on April 10; his 30-point night as “Game 6 Klay” to close out the Grizzlies in the conference semifinals, and a 32-point effort in Game 5 against Dallas to send the Warriors back to the Finals.

Though he was consistent enough over the 6 months of playing time in the 2022 season, Klay’s return certainly was more impactful for the team. 2022 NFL SuperBowl Champion Beckham pointed out the same thing as he wrote, “For someone whose been thru what I’ve been thru, U can’t help but truly want Klay Thompson to win this n get another ring and MVP. Thank u for inspiring frfr! Every minute of pain and suffering was all for this. U motivated me, just wanted to say I appreciate u 11”

After winning his 4th ring with the Warriors team, 32 years old Warriors guard expressed his joy, as he said after winning Western Conference Championship, “You look up and all the work that you put in over the last two years has paid off, built on the experience and just the veteran presence that we have. So all that stuff is just built into the context of what’s happened since Game 6 of the 2019 Finals, and we’re back here. So it’s pretty special.”

Odell and Klay’s wish has certainly come true as the Warriors defeated Celtics 103-90 in game 6 of the NBA Finals to claim their 4th Championship, and Stephen Curry won Finals MVP Award for his consistency in the series.
