Selected as the top pick in the 2019 NBA draft, Zion Williamson, the standout player for the New Orleans Pelicans, has been facing criticism this season. Fans, analysts, and former players have raised concerns about his physical condition and form. Additionally, he bears substantial expectations placed upon him.

Due to his illustrious college career, Zion showed promise at the beginning of his NBA journey. The expectations that he would be the next best thing have become unbearable for him, especially considering he has missed significant time due to injuries. Former NBA player Carmelo Anthony is the latest to weigh in on the issue.

Anthony provided constructive criticism in response to the same, on his podcast, 7PM in Brooklyn. He said:

I think from the beginning, there was so much put on Zion, like thrown at him. Like this kid still wants to eat McDonald's, this kid still wants to eat Chick-fill-A, this kid still wants to drink iced tea, man he's from South Carolina. This is what they do, they eat.

Anthony also chipped in with advice for Zion, saying:

I do agree that he needs to be disciplined. You are not going to have that longevity if you are not disciplined.
