“Non-debatable GOAT”- Twitter goes in a frenzy after incredible lob finish by LeBron James against Pacers
LeBron James
LeBron James is into his 19th year as an NBA player and in the 38th year of his life. But it is still hard to believe those numbers seeing James’ antics on the court. By this age, players either retire or take veteran minimum contracts to have a final run at a championship. LeBron on the other hand is still finishing the lob dunks with his head elevated as high as the rim’s position.
The Lakers continue their disappointing campaign as they lose to the 5th worst team in the entire league, Indian Pacers 104-111 at home on Wednesday night. They remain the 8th seed in the Western Conference with a 22-23 record for the season. The Pacers are 16-29 for the season and are 3rd worst team in the Eastern Conference.

For the Lakers, LeBron James had yet another 30 point performance supported by 12 rebounds and five assists. Russell Westbrook had 14 points, going 5-14 from the field but surprisingly, 4-6 from downtown. Talen Horton Tucker scored 20 points off the bench on an efficient 9-14 shooting while dishing out seven assists and blocking two shots. Carmelo Anthony and Malik Monk added 14 and 10 points respectively.
The game became close ever since Caris LeVert nailed a three-pointer to give the Pacers a 88-87 lead over the Lakers with 8:15 in the 4th remaining. From then on, the Lakers couldn’t regain the lead again. They could only come as close as within five points. They ended the game with a seven-point deficit for another disappointing loss.

Twitter reacts to LeBron James’ daredevil dunk
In the 2nd quarter of the game, the Lakers had the ball and were leading the Pacers 54-48. Malik Monk was controlling the ball when he came to the top of the key. LeBron James was at the corner who saw the Pacers sleeping before he cut backdoor and signaled for a lob. Monk threw the lob and LeBron finished the reverse dunk with his head so high that he had to duck under the rim to avoid contact.
This athleticism at the age of 37 is impressive. LeBron James is such a polarizing figure that he receives a lot of love and a lot of hate. But after this dunk, his haters would admire it too. Twitter certainly admired this alley oop finish by the King:
