The Brooklyn Nets fan base are sitting on the edge of their seat to see their team compete tooth and nail, in order to secure a Top 6 playoff berth in the Eastern Conference. But with Kyrie Irving only being able to contest in road games, Kevin Durant is left shorthanded to unleash himself with full venom. And somehow, certain sections of NBA fans believe that it is New York City Mayor Eric Adams to blame for it.
To those who are not aware, the vaccine mandate rules were recently changed. However, stating that unvaccinated people can go into certain venues in the city, but all workers must have received the jab in order to well, work. Obviously, that includes Brooklyn Nets marquee Kyrie Irving.

Will Kyrie Irving be able to contest in home games after regular season?
If the Brooklyn Nets are able to reach the playoffs, they surely will be a threat to watch out for. But with Kyrie Irving not allowed to represent the Nets in home games, the team could be left majorly shorthanded, as other players will need to pull up their socks in order to fill Irving’s void on the offensive end.
As per ESPN’s Nick Friedell, “Right now, we’re going to take some complaint. But when this is all said and done, people are going to realize this is a thoughtful administration and we got it right. So baseball, basketball, businesses, all of those things, they have to wait until that layer comes.”
The weirdest part about all of this? The Brooklyn Nets star can sit at the Barclays Center and watch his team play. No mask or anything. Yet, Irving is not allowed to actually suit up and work, aka play basketball, because he’s unvaccinated. Fans have seen just how capable Kyrie still is, even playing on a part-time basis. If the 2016 NBA Champ is actually on the court every night with Kevin Durant, along with their other weapons, this Steve Nash’s army is pretty scary.
